organic matter in the marine environment - origin, characteristics,
fate and its role in biogeochemical cycling

Dr.
Markager is a senior research scientist at the National Environmental
Research Center, Denmark, and adjunct professor (professeur associé)
at the University of Copenhagen. He is well known for his research
on primary production and dissolved organic carbon in marine and
freshwater ecosystems, including studies in the Greenland Sea. He
is currently leads several projects on dissolved organic nitrogen
and carbon in the world ocean, and on nutrient loading and environmental
quality of Danish estuaries. |
